Someone says “write as soon as possible you review,or you’ll forget what happened”.Well,I don’t think so.This gig was so intense I’ll remember for a looong time every feeling I felt during my weekend in Rome!But let’s start from the beginning…
Kasabian are an alternative neo-psychedelic rock band from Leicester,England.I first saw them in far 2010 in Milan,as supporters for Muse,and I totally fell in love with their sound.I also fell with their lead singer who said a ‘fu*kin’ every 2 words!“Damn sexy rocker”,I thought!!Since then,I saw Kasabian only another time in 2011 during a festival in Bologna.

2 big names in just 1 night : chronicle of an announced nice and joyful gig.
I’ve always been like Bastille since their debut album came out in 2013.I like very much their captivating sounds and their passion for shooting peculiar music videos inspired by David Lynch style(Dan,singer/mind/founder of Bastille is totally obsessed with him).
Energetic alternative rock mixed with a lot of synth pop distinguish Bastille,who already became indisputed idols for thousands of adoring teenagers 😀

2 grandi nomi in un’unica serata : cronache di un concerto preannunciatosi già in partenza pieno di divertimento e di buona musica.
Seguo i Bastille fin dai loro esordi nel 2013.La cosa che mi affascina di più sono le sonorità accattivanti e la passione che impiegano per girare i loro video musicali dichiaratamente ispirati ai lavori di David Lynch(Dan,cantante/mente/fondatore dei Bastille è praticamente ossessionato dal regista).
Il sound della band è un insieme di alternative rock e synth pop,grazie al quale questi quattro ragazzi inglesi sono diventati in poco tempo amatissimi da migliaia di teenagers adoranti 😀

Talented is talented.Young is young(he’s only 27 and he’s already considered one of the best songwriter since the ’70s).Beautiful…oh well,he’s even more that that!He’s Paolo Nutini and if you don’t know who I’m talking about,you really should google his name and listen to some of his songs on his youtube channel!
Paolo is a scottish guy with italian roots;he started his career at 16 when a manager noticed his peculiar and scratched voice,and sent him to London to record his first album “These Streets” which came out when he was 18.BOOM!Massive success all around the world with hits like New Shoes,Last Request and Rewind.Three years later,in 2009,with “Sunny Side Up” Paolo turned on his funky hint not forgetting his romantic spirit with amazing love songs(Candy sounds familiar?).Now it’s the turn of “Caustic Love”,third album came out after 5 years from the last one,which consacrated him as one of the best thing happened in music since decades!

Talento ne ha.Ad essere giovane è giovane(a soli 27 anni è già considerato uno dei migliori cantautori dagli anni ’70).Bello…oh be’,è molto più che bello!Il suo nome è Paolo Nutini e se non sai di chi sto parlando,dovresti cercare il suo nome ed ascoltare alcune delle sue canzoni sul suo canale youtube immediatamente!
Paolo è un ragazzo scozzese dalle origini italiane;ha cominciato la sua carriera musicale a soli 16 anni quando un manager ha notato la sua graffiante e particolarissima voce,e lo ha mandato direttamente a Londra per registrare il suo primo album “These Streets” che è uscito quando era appena maggiorenne.BOOM!Ha subito riscosso un immenso successo in tutto il mondo con hits come New Shoes,Last Request e Rewind.Tre anni dopo,nel 2009,con “Sunny Side Up” Paolo ha cacciato la sua vena funky senza dimenticare,però,il suo spirito romantico con stupende canzoni d’amore(Candy vi dice niente?).Adesso è il turno di “Caustic Love”,terzo album uscito dopo ben 5 anni dall’ultimo,che lo ha consacrato come una delle migliori cose successe in campo musicale da decenni!

My last gig of the year:the BIFFY “FU*KIN” CLYRO !!!One of my favourite band of the last two years!If you’ve never heard about ‘em,you really sholud listen one of their 6 albums.Opposites is the last one and it’s a double CD with a lot of great songs;but their masterpiece(in my opinion) is Only Revolutions:a synergy of scratched rock and tender ballads(for sure you know the hit Many of Horror)
Biffy Clyro are a scotthish rock band,born in 1995,by Simon Neil and the Johnston twins(Ben & James),true friends and dedicated musicians.Even though critics love them,it’s been a little bit difficult for the guys to become a “mainstream” band.But with the help and support of giants of rock as Muse,Red Hot Chili Peppers,The Who,The Rolling Stones and Queens of the Stone Age,which chose them as supporters for their world tours,Simon & Co. became visible to bigger audiences.
I jumped in this band accidentally;I was voting the “best male in rock” for the NMA awards and I stuck in front of mr Neil’s pic:bleached hair and long beard,a body covered with colourful tattoos,deep blue eyes and a sweet but naughty face…oh my!!!So I googled his name and I read something about BC;I watched “The Captain” video and I was in love!
Going back to the gig…it was AMAZING!The opening band was the Seattle’s Walking Papers,very nice sounds and great performers.When the Biffys came out,I thought I was gonna die:the crowd got mad,everybody was screaming and jumping,trying to reach the front row.I don’t even know how,but I was thrown in the second row,just in front James aka Jimbo,the bassist.Ijumped,screamed and blinked at the band for almost 2h.At the end of the night I was totally exausted!But that epic and perfect show definitely worthed the trip to Bologna,the scratches,the nudges,the sweat and the tiredness!
My hopes are to see these 3 rockers very soon,maybe in a bigger show,like their first Reading Festival as headliner played last August!

Il mio ultimo concerto dell’anno:i BIFFY FU*KIN CLYRO !!!Una delle mie band preferite degli ultimi 2 anni!Se non ne avete mai sentito parlare,dovreste ascoltare uno dei loro 6 album:Opposites è l’ultimo uscito,un doppio CD con un sacco di canzoni stupende;ma il loro capolavoro(secondo me) è Only Revolutions :una sinergia di rock graffiante e dolci ballate(di sicuro conoscete la hit Many of Horror)
I Biffy Clyro sono una rock band scozzese,nata nel 1995,da Simon Neil ed i gemelli Johnston(Ben & James),veri amici e zelanti musicisti.Anche se molto apprezzati dalla critica,è stato difficile per i ragazzi farsi conoscere dal grande pubblico.Ma con l’aiuto ed il supporto di giganti del rock come i Muse,Red Hot Chili Peppers,The Who,The Rolling Stones e i Queens of the Stone Age,che li hanno scelti come band spalla per i loro tour mondiali,Simon & Co. sono giunti ad un pubblico più vasto.
Sono incappata in questa band per caso;stavo votando il “miglior rocker maschile” agli NMA awards e sono rimasta imbambolata davanti alla foto di Mr Neil:barba lunga e capelli ossigenati,una corpo pieno di coloratissimi tatuaggi,occhi di un blu profondo ed una faccia da schiaffi…oh mamma!Quindi ho googlato il suo nome e ho letto qualcosa sui BC;poi ho guardato il video di “The Captain” e mi sono innamorata!
Ritornando al concerto…è stato INCREDIBILE!La band di supporto erano i Walking Papers di Seattle,bei suoni ed ottimi animali da palcoscenico.Quando sono usciti i Biffy ho pensato di stare per morire:il pubblico è impazzito,tutti che saltavano ed urlavano,cercando di farsi più vicini alle transenne.Non so neanche io come abbia fatto,ma mi sono ritrovata in seconda fila,giusto di fronte a James aka Jimbo,il bassista.Ho saltato,urlato ed ammiccato alla band per quasi 2h.Alla fine della serata ero esausta!Ma questo spettacolo epico e a dir poco perfetto è valso di gran lunga il viaggio fino a Bologna,i graffi,le gomitate,il sudore e la stanchezza!
La mia speranza è di rivedere questi 3 rockers molto presto,magari in uno show più grande,come il loro primo concerto da headliner al Reading Festival lo scorso agosto!

Here it is:the new Kings Of Leon video of “Beautiful War“,last single of their new album Mechanical Bull.
KOL are one of my favourite rock band,and I really can’t wait to see them live as soon as possible!
Mechanical Bull(released on 9/24/2013) is the 6th studio album of the Tennessee band,formed by 3 Followill brothers(Caleb,Nathan & Jared) and their little cousin Matthew.Their style is alternative/garage rock kind,full of biting guitars and a powerful rhythm section that “makes your seats vibrate„(as Jared says himself)!
KOL alternate pure rock ‘n’ roll songs(read Use Somebody,Don’t Metter,Pistol of Fire,Red morning Light,Sex on Fire) with very sweet ballads that melt you(as Pyro,On call,Reverly,Tonight,Wait for me and Beautiful War itself).
Apart from being rock stars,the 3 Followill  brothers are known as MODELaizer:their wives are all beautiful models(Caleb’s sweetheart is Victoria’s Secret angel Lily Aldridge!)
I’m really in love with this song(one of my fav of the LP)and the video is so cool(especially because it features Tron:Legacy actor Garrett Hedlund …such a hot guy!)

Ecco a voi il nuovo video di “Beautiful War” dei Kings of Leon ,nuovo singolo dell’ultimo album Mechanical Bull.
I KOL sono una delle mie band preferite e non vedo l’ora di ascoltarli live il prima possibile!
Mechanical Bull(uscito il 24/9/2013)è il sesto album in studio della band del Tennessee,formata dai 3 fratelli Followill(Caleb,Nathan e Jared) e dal loro cuginetto Matthew.Il loro genere è l’alternative/garage rock,pieno di chitarre graffianti ed una potente sezione ritmica che “fa vibrare le vostre sedie„(come dice Jared stesso)!
I KOL alternano canzoni in puro stile rock ‘n’ roll(leggi Use Somebody,Don’t Metter,Pistol of Fire,Red Morning Light,Sex on Fire)a dolcissime ballate che vi fanno sciogliere il cuore(come Pyro,On Call,Reverly,Tonight,Wait for Me e la stessa Beautiful War).
Oltre ad essere delle rock stars,i fratelli Followill sono anche degli sciupaMODELLE:le loro mogliettine sono tutte bellissime modelle(La dolce metà di Caleb non è nientemeno che l’angelo di Victoria’s Secret Lily Aldridge!)
Sono davvero pazza di questa canzone(una delle mie preferite del cd) e il video è molto figo(soprattutto grazie al protagonista:Garrett Hedlund di Tron:Legacy …che bel figliolo!)
