2 big names in just 1 night : chronicle of an announced nice and joyful gig.
I’ve always been like Bastille since their debut album came out in 2013.I like very much their captivating sounds and their passion for shooting peculiar music videos inspired by David Lynch style(Dan,singer/mind/founder of Bastille is totally obsessed with him).
Energetic alternative rock mixed with a lot of synth pop distinguish Bastille,who already became indisputed idols for thousands of adoring teenagers 😀

2 grandi nomi in un’unica serata : cronache di un concerto preannunciatosi già in partenza pieno di divertimento e di buona musica.
Seguo i Bastille fin dai loro esordi nel 2013.La cosa che mi affascina di più sono le sonorità accattivanti e la passione che impiegano per girare i loro video musicali dichiaratamente ispirati ai lavori di David Lynch(Dan,cantante/mente/fondatore dei Bastille è praticamente ossessionato dal regista).
Il sound della band è un insieme di alternative rock e synth pop,grazie al quale questi quattro ragazzi inglesi sono diventati in poco tempo amatissimi da migliaia di teenagers adoranti 😀

Let’s start from George Ezra:he’s only a 21 years old british guy,but he has already reached a big popolarity across Europe.His young and delicate pretty face hides a powerful and deep voice(remindes me a little bit of Elvis) I totally fell in love with!George’s songs are a mix of indie rock and exquisite pop that make you wanna jump,clap,sing and just stay positive!I only knew his two main singles(Budapest and Cassy O’)but the guy knows how to take the stage and did a great show,enchanting us with his incredible(and sexy)voice!I really think you should lend him a ear! 😀

Ma cominciamo con George Ezra:a soli 21 anni questo ragazzo inglese ha già scalato le vette delle classifiche musicali di tutta Europa.Il suo visino pulito e delicato nasconde una voce profonda e potente(che mi ha fatto pensare un po’ ad Elvis)di cui mi sono follemente innamorata!Lo stile di George è un mix tra l’indie rock ed il pop della miglior qualità,che ti fa venir voglia di saltellare,battere le mani,cantare e semplicemente stare allegro!In verità conoscevo solo due delle sue canzoni(le hits Budapest e Cassy O’)ma il ragazzo sa come tenere il palco e ha montato su uno show con i fiocchi,incantando tutta la platea con la sua voce incredibile(e sexy)!Vi consiglio vivamente di dargli un ascolto! 😀

Bastille went on stage around 10pm and,as usual,started the gig with “Twin Peaks” intro followed by the hit Bad Blood(that gives the name to the album).The band was loaded and pumped and Dan showed it jumping up and down on the stage for the whole gig.At the end of the first set he even went down,running through the crowd(with a couple of giant bodyguards,of course!)and singing (my fav song) Flaws.The average age was low,teenagers for the most,so I expected to see people jumping and singing out loud for the entire set,but it happened only during the last few songs.I was in the front rows so I was obliged to do something to show the guys I was really enjoying their work;that’s why I screamed and clapped as loud as I could.I even painted on my skin some triangles(their emblem) with fluo paint! 😀
But Bastille are not just drums and synth piano;their set-list contains touching ballads as Get Home,Overjoyed and and the ultra beautifully depressing Oblivion(which is their new single and you can watch its video with Sophie Turner from ‘Game of Thrones’ here).Another very nice surprise came at the end of the gig when the boys played the covers of “The Rhythm of the night” by Corona and “No Scrubs” by TLC(I didn’t know they remaked ‘em),it was a blast!The singer encouraged us to play a little choreography with him,so I found myself sitting on the ground and then jumping in rhythm with the song,with my hands in the air.With no worries,happy,young.
Even this time I was alone at the gig but I immediately made friends with a couple of nice girls I spent all day with!It’s incredible how music connects people! ❤
This show was even better than my expectations,so if these guys(even George Ezra than Bastille)come in your town…go and enjoy the show!

I Bastille sono saliti sul palco intorno alle 22 e,come in tutti i loro spettacoli,hanno aperto con l’intro di “Twink Peaks” seguita dalla hit Bad Blood(che dà il nome all’album).La band era carica al massimo e Dan lo ha dimostrato saltellando avanti e indietro per il palco durante tutto il concerto.Alla fine del primo set di canzoni è saltato perfino giù dal palco,correndo tra la folla(affiancato da due enormi bodyguards,of course!)cantando Flaws(la mia canzone preferita,n.d.a).L’età media era bassa,quindi mi aspettavo di vedere ragazzi saltellare e cantare a squarciagola,ma in realtà ciò è avvenuto solo durante le ultime canzoni.Io mi trovavo tra le prime file quindi mi sono sentita in dovere di urlare ed applaudire più forte possibile,per mostrare ai ragazzi che stavo apprezzando il loro lavoro.Mi sono addirittura dipinta addosso dei triangoli(il loro emblema)con della vernice fluo! 😀
Ma i Bastille non sono tamburi e pianola sintetizzata;la loro scaletta comprende anche profonde ballate come Get Home,Overjoyed e tanto bella quanto un po’ deprimente Oblivion(il loro nuovo singolo,il cui video è stato interpretato da Sophie Turner de ‘Il Trono di Spade’,che potete vedere qui).Un’altra piacevole sorpresa è arrivata verso fine concerto quando i ragazzi hanno suonato le covers di “The Rhythm of the night” di Corona e “No Scrubs” di TLC(non sapevo né che le avessero rifatte né che le usassero durante i concerti).A questo punto,il cantante ci ha esortato a fare una piccola coreografia con lui,quindi mi sono ritrovata ad accovacciarmi per terra per poi spiccare salti in aria agitando le braccia a ritmo di musica.Divertentissimo!Senza pensieri,felice,giovane.
Anche questa volta sono andata sola al concerto ma non ci ho messo molto a fare amicizia con due ragazze con cui ho passato l’intera giornata!È incredibile come la musica unisca le persone! ❤
In conclusione,il concerto ha superato di gran lunga le mie aspettative,perciò se questi ragazzi(sia George Ezra che i Bastille)vengono dalle vostre parti…vi consiglio di andarli a vedere!
